Centralized Scheduling Manager

Department: Starlight Construction

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of construction schedules and templates through use of proprietary web-based system, Dynamic Builder.
  • Responsible for daily adjustments of all schedules within the division as needed.

Key Duties:

  • Responsible for all aspects of construction scheduling within the division to include maintenance of existing templates and schedules, as well as creation of new templates 
  • Responsible for daily adjustments of all schedules within the division as needed
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting schedule adherence
  • Responsible for using data from reporting to identify and help resolve issues with cycle time and schedule adherence both internal and external (construction staff and trade partners)
  • Effectively collaborate with all departments (Construction, Purchasing, Sales, Design, Accounting) to ensure schedules align with division goals
  • Work closely with Studio and Starts Coordinator to ensure all new sales are processed in a timely manner 
  • Responsible for assuring vendors are spread out enough to be successful
  • Conduct starts meeting each week to review what homes are starting and what permits are available
  • Responsible for reviewing permits and starts to confirm we have enough permits in the pipeline to be able to stay on budget
  • Responsible for coordinating scheduling of Orientation and Closing dates between construction and the closing coordinator
  • Must report any scheduling deficiencies that are a reoccurring theme to the Director of Construction.
  • Monitor Cycle times and Continue to track each week reporting current standing to the Director of Construction
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned by supervisor

 Desired Candidate Qualifications:

  • Four (4) year degree from accredited college.
  • Five (5) years home building experience
  • One (1) Two (2) years centralized scheduling experience
  • Prior purchasing experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills and systems knowledge
  • Self-Starter (assertive and aggressive)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
