Customer Warranty Representative

Position Overview:

The Customer Care Representative will provide a high level of customer service by managing the warranty process that results in a quality experience for the homeowner, while balancing time and budget goals. Customer Care Reps are responsible for managing warranty work in multiple communities and often work from their vehicle and in or around customers' homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to communities and meet directly with homeowners regarding their warranty requests.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of warranty repair work between customers and subcontractors.
  • Follow up, inspect, and ensure repairs are completed to high quality standards and finished 100% complete and clean.
  • Instruct customers on homeowner maintenance and communicate when repairs are not warrantable.
  • Ensure warranty request calls are returned within 24 hours, service is scheduled for completion within 7-10 business days, follow warranty guidelines, and manage updates within our warranty tracking system.
  • Establish and maintain effective subcontractor relationships.
  • Update Manager weekly on outstanding warranty calls
  • Proactively communicate any construction, customer service or safety issues to Manager with suggestions for resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Strong social and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable managing conflict.
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment.
  • Experience within the construction industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office systems (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel within the DFW metroplex.
