Sales Associate

Position Overview:

Reporting to the General Sales Manager and/or the Community Sales Manager, this position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of Sales and Marketing goals to maximize the Divisions profitability and operating metrics.  The primary goal of the Sales Associate is to represent Ashton Woods Homes by properly communicating company policy and procedures regarding product and service to all prospects they come in contact with.  Conducting themselves at all times in an ethical, professional manner consistent with good business practice and established policy.  Identifying and qualifying prospects in order to secure sales.  Initiating, monitoring and expediting the home buying process.

 

Major Functional Responsibilities:

Expertise in:

  • Must completely understand all product offerings in a community (i.e., floorplans, features, Decorator features, standard features and available options)
  • Must understand the building process and be able to communicate this to prospects
  • Understand what competition is doing and be able to compare it with Ashton Woods
  • Must stay up to date on all community information (i.e., schools, utilities, tax information, shopping, local employment centers, and recreation areas) and any other information requested by Ashton Woods customers
  • Staying current with continuing education through seminars and training as deemed necessary and appropriate
  • Must understand all Ashton Woods sales agreements and addendum and be able to complete them accurately

 

Key Duties:

Model Home Responsibilities

  • Staff on site sales center and model during designated company hours. Currently:

12 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Sunday

12 p.m. to 6 p.m.    Monday

10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday

  • Maintain the sales office in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Make sure that all collateral is well stocked and consistent with company specifications
  • Place all on-site signage as needed (i.e., home site signs, inventory signs, open house signs, etc.)
  • Walk model home on a daily basis and prepare a written punch list on a weekly basis for the builder in order to maintain the model in 100% condition
  • Make sure all light bulbs are good in the model
  • Make sure all electronic equipment is on and functioning properly
  • Maintain the appropriate supplies; water, coffee, snacks, etc.

Sales Process Responsibilities

  • Develop, practice and deliver a good sales presentation consistent with company training and prescribed sales methodology
  • Completion of registration for all prospects in the format prescribed mode- IPad or Registration card with detailed information about the prospect
  • Complete all company paperwork in a timely and accurate manner as determined
  • Collect all required monies from customers
  • Maintain a good line of communication with builder
  • Provide prompt attention to any customer concern by involving the appropriate parties

 

Desired Candidate Qualifications:

  • Four (4) year college degree preferred in Sales or Marketing
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Knowledge of sales process
  • Strong analysis and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
